Sinead O’Connor, who was recently missing for a day, has moved in with former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Matt Walker. Walker drummed with the Pumpkins on their 1996 and 1997 Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness world tour dates. The Daily Mail Online reports that the singer moved to Wilmette, Illinois, at the start of the year and moved into the large suburban home of Walker. He lives there with his wife Charlotte and children.

Charlotte Walker, a massage therapist, told Daily Mail Online she could not talk about O’Connor’s life with her family or her health. ‘I’m sorry, I can’t say anything. I’m sorry. I’m sorry,’ she said.

Neighbors of the Walkers said they had seen O’Connor walking near the $1 million property, but none suggested they had any cause for concern.

In other Matt Walker news, Garbage have announced on their Facebook page that drummer Butch Vig will miss the first leg of Garbage’s 2016 tour in support of their upcoming album Strange Little Birds.
Vig is suffering from acute sinusitis and has been given strict doctors orders to not travel. Vig released the following statement:
“I’m super bummed I’m going to miss the first leg of the tour. I want to thank our fans for understanding and I can’t wait to reconnect with you later this year.”

The drummer sitting in for Vig is Matt Walker, who has also played with the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, and Morissey.
