Slipknot icon Sid Wilson revealed that his new Slipknot mask will not last long, as it isn’t even his finished mask, so we will soon see a new mask that is the finalized version, Metal Hammer magazine reports. He rejected to fully reveal it though until he is ready. A video of Corey Taylor’s mask falling off onstage was recently revealed.

“And for those who aren’t quite sure about Sid’s mask so far, don’t worry – you haven’t even seen the finished product yet. ‘You haven’t even seen my full mask!’ he chuckles. ‘I’ve not revealed it in its entirety. There are more layers to come, but you just have to show a bit of patience. You don’t get to dictate to me how I reveal everything. I’m in control of this, I decide what you get to see. There’s more coming, and I’m excited for people to see it.'”

Jim Root discussed We Are Not Your Kind in a new Guitar World interview, via the Slipknot Reddit.

The magazine asked, “As far as the material on the new record, there’s definitely a wide range of styles to be heard. To pick just two tracks, you have a song like ‘Nero Forte,’ which is arguably one of Slipknot’s catchiest, and then you have something like ‘Spiders,’ which is extremely dark and impressionistic.”

“Jim Root: It’s cool that you bring up those two, because those are actually songs that Clown wrote. [For] “Nero Forte,” we had drum cadences and beats and what he did was he sent all that stuff to Alex and he was like, ‘Put notes to these, but don’t change the rhythm of it at all.’ And then that was song sort of built from there. And ‘Spiders,’ man, I love that one. It’s like some weird, mid-Eighties Bowie thing, and i got to do a cool Adrian Belew kind of outside-the-box guitar solo on it. I love doing stuff like that, that we haven’t done before.”
