The Smashing Pumpkins kicked off their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour on Thursday in Glendale, Arizona featuring original members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin. They covered Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”, David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”, and the “Baby Mine” from the Disney film Dumbo. There were many costume changes for Billy Corgan, and he didn’t play guitar on several songs, instead moving around the stage with the microphone, and even going onto a platform overlooking bandmates Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha.
