After months of anticipation from fans, Madame Zuzu’s has issued a new update regarding the long-awaited Machina reissue from The Smashing Pumpkins. The message, sent to recent orderer, acknowledges a delay in communication but offers encouraging news: shipping for the 8LP Box Set edition is finally underway.

Smashing Pumpkins responds to fan

In the email, Madame Zuzu’s apologized for a missed shipping update that was supposed to reach all customers, writing,

“We’re sorry you didn’t receive the recent shipping update telling orderers about the delay, it should have been sent to all orderers, but it seems that was not the case.”

As per the message, shipping labels for orders containing only the 8LP Box Set are currently being produced and are “en route to the warehouse” for fulfillment within the next week. Customers are advised to monitor their tracking numbers for the latest delivery status once shipments begin.

The company also acknowledged fan frustration over the extended wait, emphasizing the care being taken to deliver a product worthy of the iconic release.

“We know how long you’ve been waiting for this package, and we truly share in any disappointment regarding the delays. Our entire team has worked diligently with the record manufacturer to create a special release, and we can assure you that this extra time is being used to ensure the final product is everything you’ve hoped for and more.”

The Machina/The Machines of God and Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music reissue—years in the making—is one of the most ambitious archival projects in The Smashing Pumpkins’ history. Overseen by Billy Corgan, the release features a full remaster and expansive packaging celebrating the original 2000 era of the band.

With this update, it appears the long journey to Machina’s definitive reissue is nearing its end. As Madame Zuzu’s puts it, “The wait is almost over.”
