Smashing Pumpkins Postpone Tour After Tragedy

The Smashing Pumpkins have postponed their Rock Invasion 2 tour due to the tragic COVID-19 world crisis. The Pumpkins are still currently scheduled to play North American stadiums with Guns N’ Roses on Ticketmaster, though the dates aren’t listed on the Pumpkins’ official website.

Billy Corgan recently revealed on his Instagram page that while The Smashing Pumpkins already have recorded and finished their new double album, he is already writing songs for the band’s followup record. He said that no songs co-written by James Iha made the album, despite previously stating that he wrote a new Pumpkins song with Iha last year, their first songwriting collaboration in 20 years since MACHINA II was released in 2000.
