Stone Temple Pilots have defined Generation X thanks to their incredible variety of songs, establishing themselves all the way back in 1989.
Stone Temple Pilots’ first four albums are hailed as their most significant ones commercially. STP’s first album called Core released back in 1992, and it got the 25th anniversary edition release in 2017.
Their second album released in 1994, Purple , and the 25th anniversary edition of the album was released in 2019.
Following the same pattern, their third album, Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop, which was released back in 1996, saw the 25th anniversary edition of the album released in 2021.
Therefore it was more or less expected that their fourth album No. 4 , which was released in 1999, was going to get a 25th anniversary edition of the album as well. This was also pointed out by a fan on a Reddit thread , as the 25th anniversary should have released in September of this year but there is simply no indication of that happening.
