Ted Nugent has strongly supported Donald Trump since his first presidential campaign in 2016. While speaking to Mlive, he made it clear he believes that while Trump can’t legally run for a third term unless the law changes, he is still the kind of leader the country needs right now.
Nugent sees Trump as a strong and necessary figure during what he views as a time of government corruption and injustice. He praises Trump’s executive decisions, calling them logical and based on truth and common sense. He said he is worried about people trying to hurt Kid Rock.
He also defends Trump by pointing out that many of the people who dislike Trump also dislike him and others like Kid Rock. Nugent claims these critics often show anger and a desire to harm those they disagree with, whereas he says he doesn’t wish harm on anyone, even if he disagrees with them.
