Ted Nugent is not happy with Jimmy Kimmel’s return
Rock legend Ted Nugent, never one to hold back, has taken aim at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, calling him “toxic” and demanding his firing.
In a fiery statement posted under the banner of Uncle Ted’s Sucker Times, Nugent argued that while free speech allows Kimmel and fellow host Stephen Colbert to say what they want, they should face consequences for “lies, hate, nonsense, and cruelty.”
“You can speak, but when you speak indecently, when you speak with toxicity, you’re fired,” Nugent declared. He likened the situation to running a band, saying that if one of his members spread “nasty, hateful, dishonest lies,” they’d be out immediately.
He said, as transcribed by Alternative Nation, “Kimmel should be fired because he’s nasty. You can speak, but when you speak indecently, when you speak with toxicity, you’re fired. Yeah, you had the right to say that and they had the right to fight. This guy has always been toxic. This guy doesn’t have an honest bone in his body. The lies, the hate, the nonsense, the cruelty that he and Colbert spew deserve consequences. You know, if you’re in my band and you’re saying really nasty, hateful, dishonest lies, I’m going to fire you. You have the right to say those nasty, distasteful, indecent lies, but you’re fired.”
Nugent also mocked filmmaker Michael Moore, telling readers to “call 1-800 num-nut” for explanations about “blubber.” He said, “If you have any questions about that truth, logic, and common sense procedure, call 1-800 num-nut and Michael Moore will tell you why blubber is an exclusive to sperm whale pods.”
The rocker’s comments continue his long-standing pattern of attacking Hollywood figures he sees as spreading harmful or dishonest messages.
