Bruce Springsteen wants President Trump removed with the 25th amendment.
Springsteen told Time, “If I’m going to stay true to who I’ve tried to be… I can’t give these guys a free pass,” Springsteen said. “A lot of people bought into his lies… He doesn’t care about the forgotten anybody but himself and the multibillionaires who stood behind him on Inauguration Day… You have to face the fact that a good number of Americans are simply comfortable with his politics of power and dominance.”
“I absolutely couldn’t care less what he thinks about me,” Springsteen added. “He’s the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he’d be consigned to the trash heap of history.”
Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello wants Trump arrested.
“For starters: GENERAL STRIKE. ARREST THE PRESIDENT. ABOLISH ICE. FREE PALESTINE.” Morello has played with Springsteen in the past, and the remarks by both men upset Republican fans on X.
Bruce Springsteen has never been shy about his views on Donald Trump. During a 2025 show in Manchester, he called the former president’s administration “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.” In another interview with Billboard, Springsteen went even further, labeling Trump a “moron” and describing his time in office as an “American tragedy.” Speaking to The Guardian, he accused Trump of siding with authoritarian leaders and undermining democratic values.
Tom Morello has taken a similar stance. He has repeatedly called Trump an “abomination,” telling Loudwire that his policies and rhetoric echo authoritarianism. Morello also explained to Billboard that his song Pretend You Remember Me was inspired by what he described as “state terror” and threats to basic freedoms. Looking back on Rage Against the Machine’s 1999 video for “Sleep Now in the Fire,” which famously featured a “Trump for President” sign, Morello joked to Kerrang that the band was “karmically entirely responsible” for Trump’s rise.
