We are less than two months into the new year, and already the U.S. has suffered a number of unfortunate tragedies. Between the multiple plane crashes, the devastating fires in Los Angeles, the numerous natural disasters across the country, and a deadly attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, it has been a lot to take in.
Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee recently took to Instagram to vent his frustrations about the poor start 2025 has gotten off to, seemingly taking aim at both President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden in the process.
“This whole new year has been a such a f*cking sh*tshow!!!! From presidents, to wildfires, storms, multiple airplane crashes, multiple deaths, I could go on and on!!!” he wrote.
“F*ck I was thinking maybe we’re just getting all the bad shit out of the way at the beginning of the year so we can get on to having some fun already…. So f*ck this… We’ve decided to start our new year celebrations March 1st is the new New Year!!!!” he added.
Lee was one of thousands who were forced to evacuate when fires, fueled by Santa Ana Winds, ripped through multiple parts of Los Angeles county last month. “We were evacuated last night,” Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan wrote on Instagram while the fires were raging. “The fire is 0% contained. Praying for a miracle.”
Just last week, a plane owned by Lee’s Mötley Crüe bandmate Vince Neil was involved in a crash when the Learjet’s landing gear failed. After failing to stop, the plane rammed into another, parked, aircraft at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona. While Neil was not on board, his long-time pilot was unfortunately killed in the accident. Three others, including Neil’s girlfriend Rain, were injured and transported to a local hospital with it later being confirmed that Rain suffered five broken ribs.
