Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan quoted Planet of the Apes in response to a bible verse on the Puscifer Twitter page. The quote mentions why man kills for greed, lust, and sport.

Puscifer “Momma Sed.”

“Listen to Momma. She knows best.”

BIBLE responded, “Romans 12:1-2 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Keenan shot back, “Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil’s pawn. Alone among God’s primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed… Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; … for he is the harbinger of death. Planet of the Apes.”

The New York Times have up a new article on Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan, and the piece claims that Keenan is the former singer of Tool, having left the band.

A fan on Twitter named Godhenry sent Keenan the article, “@mjkeenan Stoked that @nytimes gave @merkinvineyards a shout-out in this nicely written article about wine and Arizona, but hope @mjkeenan is not leaving @Tool ‘Maynard Keenan, a wine entrepreneur and former lead singer of the alt-metal band, Tool)’ 🙄”

Keenan responded, “Not much fact-checking these days.”

Tool are set to release a new album on August 30, 2019, their first new record since 2006’s 10,000 Days. The band recently debuted “Descending” and “Invincible” live.
