Tool guitarist Adam Jones reacted to a rare photo of the band with himself looking creepily red surfacing on his Instagram story, mentioning that he is always the red one. He also shared mysterious photos of himself ‘rendering,’ and a guitar pedal photo. It’s unclear if it has to do with the new Tool album, or perhaps a new video. You can view screenshots from Adam Jones’ Instagram story below.

Tool drummer Danny Carey revealed that he went to see Maynard James Keenan in Scottsdale on his birthday, and he had ‘skipped town’ in a new web statement.

“I went to Scottsdale to wish our beloved singer happy birthday but I guess he found out I was coming and skipped town. Instead of showering him with fabulous presents from a far I ended up with a free meal and a great bottle of wine for myself. Bummer huh?!?! Happy birthday brother! I hope I can repay you next month.”

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan celebrated his 55th birthday on Wednesday, and he of course took the opportunity to troll Tool fans with a Jesus Christ meme he created, announcing that there is no new Tool album news, and to ‘let it go’ for the day. Awful news for anxious Tool fans! Keenan made Jesus’ foot his new Twitter profile photo.

Jesus is shown listening to music on his phone thinking, “Maynard’s 55th birthday was fuckin tight.”

“Gonna be a Good Friday, too.”

“Hope the weekend doesn’t get outta hand.”

An arrow points at Jesus’ phone, which is playing music, and says, “#NotNewTool #LetItGoForADay.”

He wrote in the caption on Twitter, “Carina & Mat: ‘Wanna go to birthday breakfast? Our treat. We’ll pick you up.’

Me: ‘Good. Cuz I can’t drive. 55.'”

The tweet is a reference to former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar and his own new age, 55.
