TMZ reports that the guys in Bush had a rough go of it Saturday night, as the fans tried hijacking the concert.

It went down at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City … when Gavin Rossdale invited a bunch of women up on stage for their hit, “Comedown.” A crazy fan jumped up on stage and bumped right into Rossdale. He was bum-rushed by security and removed in short order.

And then a woman tries to karaoke her version of the song … not cool.

Fortunately it all happened toward the end of the concert.

Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo, and The Cult frontman Ian Astbury were interviewed on Adam Carolla’s podcast yesterday.

Carolla said, “I remember seeing Scott [Weiland], god it must have been like 2000 or 2001 and it was in Anaheim or something.”

“He was such a frontman, like he struck me as such a supreme frontman. Am I right on with that analysis?”

Rossdale responded, “For me he was a great frontman. As another frontman, I’ve got to say he was great.”

Carolla then asked if Rossdale got competitive with frontmen like Weiland, “So Gavin, when you see another guy who is a great frontman, do you go, I should be a little more like that guy, or I guess that’s what he does?”

Rossdale said, “I could never rock those big fluffy scarves. That was all his own, but it’s inspiring. If anything now with music, which is bigger and better than ever, maybe it doesn’t have the most superstars, so when you see real frontmen, I like it. I feel old fashioned like that, I like a strong frontperson and a great band. STP is the perfect example of that, incredible band, incredible frontmen. Jeff has a lot to live up to.”
