Wolfgang Van Halen recently opened up on the possibility of joining Sammy Hagar on stage during the Best of All Worlds Tour.

In an interview with Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, the discussion arose when Van Halen was asked about potentially performing Van Halen songs alongside the former frontman.

When asked “Would you ever jump on stage with Hagar on the Best of All Worlds Tour and do a Van Halen song?” Wolfgang Van Halen gave a definitive response.

“No. I know that’s not what people want to hear, but it’s not something I’m interested in doing,” Van Halen said. “I really want to build my own thing, and I think I don’t really want to play much of Van Halen music without my dad, anyways.”

Wolfgang has been focusing on his own music and it has proven successful. Mammoth WVH dropped its third album, “The End,” in October 2025, marking a pivotal shift where Wolfgang embraced his music without legacy pressures. The project has achieved significant commercial success, with the debut album reaching No. 12 on the Billboard 200 in 2021 and amassing over 100 million streams.

Wolfgang also launched a headline tour on March 5th in Buffalo, New York, with upcoming stops including Toronto and St. Louis’ Pointfest on May 16th. The tour also features guitarist Frank Sidoris from Slash’s band, with additional dates planned as openers for Bush and Iron Maiden in South America, plus European headline shows.
