Yungblud is facing backlash after being photographed with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann during a recent stop in Australia. Both artists were touring the country and crossed paths in Perth.
Lindemann shared the photo of himself with Yungblud on Instagram, writing: “Absolute pleasure meeting @yungblud in Perth. Have fun in Mumbai!”
In 2023, Lindemann was accused by multiple women of drugging them at a party and propositioning them for sex. His legal team denied the allegations, and German prosecutors later dropped their investigation stating that a review of the available evidence did not “produced any indications that the accused has carried out sexual acts on women against their will” or drugged them “in order to persuade them to have sex.”
After the photo was shared, Yungblud faced backlash from fans who said they were “disappointed” in him for posing with the Rammstein singer.
Yungblud has since addressed the situation in a statement shared on social media, saying he was unaware of the allegations at the time the photo was taken.
“I had no idea – Obviously at the minute I’m meeting lots of people every day without fully knowing who they are or what they’re about,” he explained. “And I can assure you, if I knew about any allegations, it would have been a completely different story,” he explained. “You all know what I stand for, always. I’ll be more aware of it in the future.”
