Alice In Chains celebrated the 25th anniversary of the release of their 1995 self-titled final album with Layne Staley, posting rare photos from the ‘Tripod’ era of the band. A Guns N’ Roses member just discussed Layne and Alice In Chains losing popularity.

The band wrote, “Our self-titled album turns 25 tomorrow. We’ll be sharing some memories from this era over the next few days, so be sure to follow along.

As a thank you for 25 years, head to our webstore for some deals now through Sunday at midnight PT. Link in bio.”

They added, “Miss Weisbaum using her charisma to get the scoop from Layne about our self-titled record. Swipe to see how it turned out.”

AIC also posted, “Shot by @rockyschenckofficial in Seattle, surrounding the self-titled album and making of The Nona Tapes.”

Feralstarlight commented, “Nona should do another interview with the band since its such an important anniversary.”

Glazy_caetano chimed in, “The iconic and unique Nona Weisbaum, man sometimes I forget she’s Jerry 😹 happy anniversary, ‘Tripod.'”

Ljm71 requested, “I think Miss Nona needs to do some updated interviews. I love her.. the Nona Tapes rock I know it’s on your YouTube please release it on DVD.”

Tripod featured the hits Grind, Heaven Beside You, and Again. Alice In Chains barely toured the album, with very select live performances in spring and summer 1996.

Alice In Chains performed live on MTV Unplugged in New York in April to mark their live comeback after 2 and a half years, followed up by performances of “Again” on David Letterman and Saturday Night Special. Alice In Chains then opened for KISS or four shows in June and July, with Layne Staley’s final performance taking place on July 3, 1996 in Kansas City.
