Chris Cornell’s Widow Defends Chester Bennington’s Wife After ‘Cruel’ Attacks

Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky has praised late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda after she has been attacked on social media.

Vicky Cornell wrote, “Sadly, empathize with @TalindaB -cruel, malicious, baseless attacks but ‘when they go low we go high!’ I love you T!”

Talinda Bennington wrote to Vicky, “❤️❤️❤️ God gave us our husbands, our babies, and each other. We will always stand back 2 back and heart 2 heart. We travel this road together. I love you❤️❤️”

New photos of Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky and Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda with their children surfaced in October. Vicky’s brother Nick is in the second photo.

In November, late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda tweeted out a photo of herself and her daughter from two weeks before Chester’s death. Talinda wrote, “Looking @ this pic & it feels like I'm looking at a stranger. Wondering if I'll ever have that look of pure joy in my eyes again💔.”

Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky responded, “I see it every time you look at your babies . I love you T.” You can see the emotional photo below.

How dismal to read V. Cornell compare herself to Michelle Obama. I don’t consider she knows how to “go high” and rise above the chaos. This widow’s club led by Linda Ramone is completely strange. The old days of dressing in black and staying quiet and withdrawn is an appealing cultural practice at this point.

Vicky and Michelle in the same sentence?

I shudder at the thought because Michelle exudes dignity and class.

And I don’t think I want to know what Vicky exudes.

Vicky always looks like someone pissed in her Cheerios. I’m not saying this to be mean this time, honestly. This is a true direct observation. She looks as though she feels like she is wasting her time taking these pics.

It’s probably because she doesn’t have a Birkin on her arm.

      Catty I know.

      But I couldn’t help myself.

Look at the many red carpet events where she somehow thinks she’s a huge celebrity because she’s with Chris Cornell…..I see a person with a huge feeling of entitlement. It must be very difficult to face the reality that you were married to a gifted and loved artist and although he included you in all his success – shared it all with you – you are not the much-loved artist.

Vicky, this is not about you.

Can you not figure out that there are other people in the world besides you?

  • Cathy

Delusional woman! Where’s that statue in Seattle? Uh-huh, that’s what I thought! And what happened that night in Detroit?? Talk about that?…

  • Jay

Why is there so much media attention on someone’s on someone who is just riding coattails of the talent? No more free rides

They both cowards for taking th the easy way out no respect here period

Taking your own life is definitely not an easy way out! Have you struggled with mental illness and/or suicidal thoughts? What respect do you have making a comment like that?

    • Olga Stewart

Have you ever dealt with mental illness (either yourself or someone you know)?:

If not, then you have no idea what Chris was both dealing with and going through.

And of course comments like this come from people who both won’t learn and are cowardly about facing up to the more difficult and hurtful moments in life.
