During Pearl Jam’s recent Mad Cool Festival performance, Eddie Vedder unloaded on his enemies, saying that those ‘fuckers’ will die, and so will their ideas.

Eddie asked if he can speak in English because his Spanish is shit. He discussed tough times in life, that we get through and look at us now in this beautiful place with great people. Getting fueled up with positivity and that we can all get along no matter race, religion, sexual orientation. Those that say we can’t are wrong, and those ideas will die with the people that hold them.

Vedder proclaimed, “Enjoy your last breaths old man of racism, sexism, because you fuckers are going to die, and it’s going to die with you. Those ideas are dying.”

Eddie Vedder’s wife Jill recently wrote on Instagram about a London protest of President Donald Trump.

She wrote, “London!! You did not disappoint .. .thanks for your resistance and the great signs .. 🇬🇧#nationaldisgrace #americanidiot #worlddestroyer.”

She also commented, “I know.. I’m sorry.. he isn’t even welcomed here .. I wouldn’t wish him on anyone ..😔”

Model role models roll some models in blood. Get some flesh to stick so they’ll look like us. I shit And I stink I’m real join the club.

Guess Eddie is happier being a rich liberal asshole.

    Fuck you eddie.

He’s right, those ideas are dying. He was speaking metaphorically music fans. Those ideas are dying and are in their last death throws now and some are hanging onto the old ways by their teeth. The young that I know will never pass on the madness that we are living through now.

It’s interesting that Eddie Vedder is often described by those who despise him as a rich liberal. Is this about money? Do people who support Trump think he’s going to make them wealthy? That’s a joke–he and his family are the only ones that will make money long term through this fiasco.

    • John

👏🏽👏🏽 As opposed to rich conservative assholes? I’ll take the lib any day.

Divide and conquer. Donald Trump has created a new group of political citizens – they are dangerously obedient.

        • John

          Agreed

          • Joe Costigan

It’s actually the far-left in this country that is politically obedient or “useful idiots” as Lenin described them. Being a libertarian on most issues it is easy to see that the far-left in American society pushes hate and violence – their desire for “diversity” and “equality” is something out of Animal Farm.

          • makingconnections

I don’t know how we got to this point. Your words are bizarre to me, as mine likely are to you. Are you talking about American politics and the Trump – Hilary Clinton conflict. Otherwise, I don’t get it.

          • John

“Libertarians” or Obama haters, speak in a language not even they understand and speak of this selfish each man for themselves utopia that doesn’t exist but in their and Rand Paul’s mind

          • makingconnections

Thanks…there’s certain information that just isn’t available, except from those that live it. You know, in our country, not that many years ago, we could have a Liberal or Conservative government and the election results didn’t matter too too much. Both parties would lead with a pretty calm intelligence and they both valued our democracy. I realize now that those were precious times, when the elected representatives seemed to understand the honour it was to speak for us.

    • John

The problem with that though is that reality never actually ceases to exist so there will always be people who notice things that liberals don’t want to be true.

  • Kitsune

I wish I could be such an optimist as Eddie is.I think things are going the other way around,Fascism is rising because of poverty and economic crisis,so people are hiding behind nationalism, while blaming immigration policies and immigrants themselves of their economic state. It’s a defence mechanism. So instead of fighting against a failing system, where the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer, where industry and technology have replaced a lot of jobs,as a result unemployment rates are getting higher and higher, people prefer fucking with the weakest ones of the society, because it’s the easiest way to victimize their problems. The biggest challenge of humanity will be to stay connected and ask-demand better conditions of life.I wish we were…

    • makingconnections

      Well put!

Much has been written about the dangers of nationalism. I believe many wars are started because a inept but somewhat charismatic (I don’t think of Trump that way, but some do obviously..) can pump certain people up and soon they’ll believe anything they say (especially if you’re able to make them feel like victims).

The poor are always the ones to suffer first and it hurts to realize that in all the flooding and storms happening due to climate change, they are the ones to suffer most…..where I live there are huge changes in species inhabiting our coast and yet President Trump is taking the efforts regarding the climate backwards to please his base. It’s disgusting.

      • John

If there’s one thing liberals should do if you want to maintain credibility at all is stop pretending you care about war. It’s obvious from the reactions from Trump’s diplomacy efforts with North Korea that you never cared at all. Tomorrow he’ll have a meeting with the president of Russia, and if he’s successful in improving relations and making peace with that country the liberal establishment will be screaming bloody murder.

        • makingconnections

I’m not looking for approval of my thinking from anyone…credibility comes from those I interact with in my day-to-day life and those I can actually play some sort of role that helps them get on their feet. I live to make a difference in the lives of children and families. Whether “Trump’s base” finds me “unhinged” or not, well, I don’t care.

I will give you an example of what bothers me about Donald Trump’s peacekeeping efforts. When there are wrongs done by leaders in the world and especially wrongs like have happened in North Korea, I don’t think any one man can “make peace”. First of all justice must be done and someone must take responsibility in the World Court in the Hague for crimes against humanity–for instance torturing and starving your own people. Donald Trump is so vain and uninformed that he actually thinks he can step over all the long-established rules in the World Community, and make peace. He doesn’t speak for the whole world but he seems to think he does and that so many Americans think that he has that authority is quite disturbing. It’s not about liberals and conservatives–it’s about justice and not flailing around like mister-know-it all. (It doesn’t matter what happens in Russia–Putin will win because he’s a much better manipulator than President Trump will ever be. He’ll make a fool of him, which isn’t difficult to do.)

    • John

Or maybe our current immigration policy itself is actually having a bad effect on people’s lives and it’s not just a scapegoat.

      • Kitsune

I don’t see how it’s an immigration problem the fact that people’s wages are going down, when they get paid normally and pay double the taxes. And even if it’s true who’s taking advantage of them, who’s gaining profit.

  • MGTOW

I was a big PJ fan until now, but fuck you Eddie. I don’t like Trump but I’m tired of these rich liberals virtue signaling all the time.

    • John

I hope you realize Trump is a rich asshole. Nothing wrong w/ speaking out against him and those evil GOP fuckers

      • MGTOW

I agree Trump is a rich childlish asshole and I don’t like him, but why is he evil? What did he do exactly to be considered evil? Started a massive war in the middle east? Armed ISIS to bring down regimes? Ahh no the democrats did that! FYI I’m not american I don’t live in the US, I’m just an observer and I see that the cringe about Trump is exaggerated.

        • makingconnections

The “I know you are but what am I” method is a poor defense for what Donald Trump is up to.

          • MGTOW

And what is he up to exactly? Let me guess, he is Hitler’s reincarnation trying to start WW3.

          • makingconnections

Be as dramatic as you like…I would never bring up Hitler….these are different times.

I’m Canadian and we share North America with Mexico and the US–most leaders have realized that. Donald Trump, President is so petty that if he’s slightly offended because someone is more articulate than he is or perhaps well liked and handsome, he will attack. . .that’s childish and foolish and so we have British protesters flying an image of Trump in diapers during his visit. Since his election he’s been taking environmental standards backwards and trying to make enemies of long-standing allies. If you don’t realize what he’s done to make the world in a dangerous position, I suggest you inform yourself. Your indifference is also dangerous in my opinion.

          • MGTOW

I’m not saying you should support him, just that the cringe is exaggerated and these rich artists are brainwashing young kids from their mansions with stupid ideas like socialism is good and we all must hate Trump.

          • John

Separating kids from parents seeking asylum isn’t evil? Must be a brown hater. I get it.

          • MGTOW

I see, so just because I don’t want be a part of the “let’s hate Trump” hysteria now I must be a brown hater…I hope one day you realize not everything has to be black or white and politicians of any party don’t give an F about you.

        • John

The worst crime of all: he said things that offended people.

          • MGTOW

Offending people is worst than killing thousands like Hillary Clinton and Obama did? All these refugees pouring into Europe are because of Hillary and Barack. Note that I completely agree that Trump should shut his big mouth and do his job.

  • John

Isn’t Vedder kind of an old man himself at this point?

    • makingconnections

Oh, but some think he corrupting the young. When I see a sea of faces at concerts, especially those in South America, they look like middle-aged people to me. I’m always happy to see them out there reliving their youth!
