Green Day’s Tre Cool had recently invited Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony to his Christmas party. Hagar took to his Instagram account and revealed it in the caption. They had a great time while they also jammed some Christmas songs. Sammy Hagar had previously revealed that he shaved beard as he shared a picture.
His caption read:
“@trecool & Sara Had a Christmas party. @mad_anthony_bassman and I happen to be there and we jammed a bunch of somewhat Christmas songs. we had a blast, go figure And a few other things. #merrychristmas”

Green Day teases new music in London
Green Day have unveiled several new songs in 2021 (Here Comes The Shock, Pollyanna and, most recently, Holy Toledo!), and it looks like even more material is on the way.
The band were seemingly in London at some point this year, and have just shared a teaser video from their time at the city’s RAK Studios – with footage from Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool all in action, and what is presumably a new song soundtracking it.
As well as confirming that they were at RAK Studios, Green Day’s new teaser video flashes the year 1972 – which, as fans on Reddit point out, is when all three of the band were born. Ooooh…
Speaking to Kerrang! last year following the release of their latest album Father Of All…, Billie Joe explained that Green Day were all about having fun when it comes to making music these days:
“There’s always this thing of people wanting to move forwards, but I think sometimes it’s important to kind of move sideways,” he said. “Father Of All… was just a different thing that we’ve done, and we were able to challenge ourselves, and dig into our musical roots, and put something out there that is taking things to a different place. It was just such a different record for us, and I think it stuck with people. That’s what success is to me these days.”
