Howard Stern had high praise for Chris Cornell’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” on a recent episode of his show.

MarksFriggin.com recapped: Howard said they’re going to talk about Michael Jackson cover songs too. He said he never did like Michael Jackson or the Jackson 5. He said it just wasn’t his thing. Robin said they were cute little pop stars. Howard said he doesn’t like that. He said he did like Marie Osmond though. He said she looks great after her weight loss. He thought she lost it on Weight Watchers but Robin said it was Nutri-System. Howard said they spent all of that effort on that company and he doesn’t remember who it was.

Howard said he has to talk about the Michael Jackson covers. He said Chris Cornell covered Billie Jean and he changed the whole song. He said he could have taken this and made a whole new song out of it. Robin said here are many musicians who like Michael’s music. Howard said this is one cover he likes. He played Chris Cornell’s cover of Billie Jean.

Howard said that Fall Out Boy and John Mayer covered ”Beat It” and its an awful song. He said they didn’t do a bad job with it but it was just an annoying song. He said the song just annoys him. He said take that song and beat it. Robin said it already made its money so stop it.
