Pearl Jam have announced a new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame special on Pearl Jam Radio hosted by Jeff Ament. The special will be broadcast throughout the next week on SiriusXM. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently announced that Def Leppard, The Cure, Radiohead, and Janet Jackson will be inducted as part of the class of 2019.
Jeff Ament wore a shirt during Pearl Jam’s April 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction acceptance speech that listed many deserving bands that were not yet inducted, including 90’s icons Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Faith No More, and Nine Inch Nails.
A year and a half later, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have responded to the shirt in a series of tweets in October.

Unfortunately, the tweets meant nothing, as most of the bands Ament was sticking up for have still not been inducted, and many haven’t even been nominated, including Soundgarden and the late great Chris Cornell.
