One of the fans on Reddit, mmmfreshpots talked about the incident and stated that there is not a video clip of the moment yet but it was quite emotional.

A fan wrote the following on Reddit: “Doesn’t seem to be a video of it yet but the whole show was so incredible and emotional. I was actually working as a steward at it, and I’ve never cried at a gig before out of thousands I’ve been to and worked at, but tonight, when Brian May started crying before Love of my Life, I started welling up too, and then again later when Roger Taylor mentioned Taylor. No one saw because I could hide behind my mask haha, one of the reasons I wore one cause I thought they might mention Taylor

Foo Fighters was due to play on the same day of his death. The band was scheduled to play at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia. This led to the band canceling the rest of their South American tour. The cause of Hawkins’ death is still not officially confirmed, but there are reports. ‘According to those close to him, the death could be related to the consumption of drugs.’ The Daily Mail reported this alleged statement. He had a history of drug abuse.

White powder ‘similar to cocaine’,  and hallucinogens, were allegedly found in the five-star Casa Medina hotel room of Hawkins. Highly respected Colombian journalist Luis Carlos Velez, the Bogota-based director of radio station FM recently claimed that a police officer who entered Hawkins’ room had told prosecutors he saw a ‘cocaine-like’ white powder. Foo Fighters have canceled their 2022 tour dates.
