Tool guitarist Adam Jones has shared a new video of his young fan flashing some creepy devil horns onstage at the end of a recent performance on the band’s European tour. Maynard James Keenan recently announced that the new Tool album release date is August 30th.
Jones wrote, “Tool Brood.” He later said his wife taught him how to do it.
Fans recently reviewed a Tool show in Amsterdam on Reddit.
JustAheadOfMe posted, “Longtime lurker and longtime fan here. My first time seeing Tool live in a decent (non-festival) setting in 13 years, and it was freaking amazing. I was leaning toward Invincible as my favorite new song, but I instantly switched sides when I heard Descending last night. Everyone’s right, the bootlegs do it no justice. It was loud, tight, brutal, emotional, beautiful. A new song being the high point of the set gives me even better hopes for the new album! The band (especially Justin) looked like they had great fun, too!”
88scythe posted, “Concert was great but you Dutchies need to learn to stfu during the songs. Had the most annoying guy right behind me constantly shouting Wajajajajaja at the top of his lungs, pissing off at everyone in the near vicinity. Then after I politely asked him to only make his annoying noise in between songs he did it even more while the band was playing, constantly breaking the vibe. Wanted to trash his face. Also in general lots of movement of people getting beer and talking to each other. Sit down, shut up and enjoy the concert. Save your energy to go wild after each song.”
NoWhisperer responded, “There were a LOT of non-Dutchies there, I’m a Dutchie myself and I was at least as annoyed as you by those sounds and people getting drinks. The majority of the people I heard speaking weren’t Dutch so I guess Amsterdam just attracts the wrong kind of crowd.”
JustAheadOfMe also responded, “Ironically, I’m a Dutchie and I had the same experience with a guy from the UK 🙂 Luckily I was surrounded by people who actually came to listen to the music, so that made the constant ‘WOOOOO’s and off-key singalongs bearable I guess. On the other hand, it’s nice to see how Tool gets such a strong response out of their fans. I admit I chuckled when the guy yelled ‘DANNY F*#@ CAREY WHAT THE F***!!!’ after a drum fill (I find myself thinking the same thing quite often, just not out loud…)”
