With Maynard James Keenan recently announcing the new Tool album release date is August 30th, and the band wrapping up a European tour, fans have been awaiting a North American tour announcement
WeaponX33 posted on Reddit, “Buddy of mine works at ATT Center in San Antonio just told me Tool is playing there in the November 11 – 17 window, possibly even twice.
It’s not a done deal yet so I’d guess a proper tour announcement is still a week away at least.”
psyopsono said, “Hoping they come back to Chicago, I was out of town during Open Air.”
bSQUARED08 wrote, “Oh man, I hate to rub it in, but that show was tremendous… I got utterly CRUSHED when they hit the stage with Ænima. I couldn’t have asked for a better setlist though- these guys were having fun & it showed in their performance… My first time seeing Tool & I refuse to miss them on this next tour- quite possibly the best live show I’ve ever seen.”
Nayre_Trawe responded, “It was a good show but keep in mind it was a festival, so they didn’t do their usual lights/lasers and the setlist was short. They will almost certainly come back to Chicago or somewhere within driving distance on their next tour.”
psyopsono commented, “Yeah that’s kind of why I don’t hate myself as much, I generally don’t like festivals and nothing else from that lineup stood out to me. I’d rather wait and see a full show with all the cool indoor lighting.”
TriangleCustom chimed in, “Tool owes us a show here in NC after Cluster Fuck Epicenter festival in May. Still saw the Foo’s (!) but spent $1000.00 to see Tool just to be canceled and rained on. Bummer.”
