Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan shared a photo of himself with what appears to be an IV hooked in on Instagram with the caption:

“Sometimes rock and roll has its costs. But it does occur to me sitting here that my aim is to make peace with my family first, and then spend whatever time I have left here making peace with God #loveisallyouneed.”

Corgan later shared a video of himself singing an impromptu song titled “I’m Fine.” You can watch video of that below the IV photo. He wrote, “New song! ‘I’m f-i-n-e!’ #loveisallyouneed.”

Corgan posted a couple of weeks ago that he was sick, but then a few days later shared that he was feeling better.

“I’m feeling a lot better, but sympathies to anyone who has caught this scourge going round. ‘Tis awful. Still, we have work today, as I figured the Lord’s day (Sunday) is as good a day as any to write a good song. So, blessings to all, and Love to all…”

He also recently wrote, “Life moves fast. I often find myself saying, ‘I can’t believe that it’s been a year since I was doing such and such.’ My humble suggestion? Embrace the moment you are in, celebrate those who have been on the journey with you, and cherish those ancestors that brought you here. #beherenow.”

“Nothing is more important than family.”

He wrote in another post about his son Augustus Juppiter, “With the love of my life. He’s the reason I’m still in the game.”

The Smashing Pumpkins are currently recording a new album in Los Angeles. Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, Jeff Schroeder, and James Iha have been spotted in the studio.
