Pearl Jam employee Sarah Seiler has revealed the first look at the new Andrew Wood tribute statue at the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle on Instagram.

She wrote, “Kicking off this week with Andy standing watch over it all. As it should be. ❤️ I cannot wait for everyone to see the #PearlJamHomeXAway exhibit at @mopopseattle. Far beyond my wildest dreams. Truly incredible work, @kshuss11 and MoPOP! #thehomeshows #andywood.”

The unveiling of the statue is part of the Pearl Jam Home and Away exhibit at the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture.

Travis Hay tweeted, “I ran into Jeff Ament during the media preview of Pearl Jam Home and Away. He was there b/c he and his wife commissioned a bronze statue of Andy Wood and the statue was being unveiled for the first time today.”

Wood played with Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament in Mother Love Bone, and tragically died in 1990. Gossard and Ament formed Pearl Jam (under the name Mookie Blaylock) later that year. A Chris Cornell tribute statue is coming to Seattle later this month.
