Pearl Jam members Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready are set to appear with former Vice President Joe Biden’s wife Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff for a live conversation on Thursday October 8th. Drummer Matt Cameron will not be present for the appearance, which is the first time most of Pearl Jam will make a public appearance together in 2 years. Eddie Vedder recently discussed Pearl Jam appearing on The Howard Stern Show.

Joe Biden’s campaign states, “Video conferencing details will be sent to all confirmed participants 24 hours prior to the event. Reasonable accommodations, such as closed captioning, will be available at request after RSVP.”

Eddie Vedder and his Pearl Jam bandmates have strongly backed Joe Biden’s campaign against President Donald Trump, as they have backed campaigns in the past for other Democrat candidates including Barack Obama and Jon Tester, though in 2000 they supported Green party nominee Ralph Nader against George W. Bush and Al Gore. Pearl Jam first visited The White House in the 90’s when Bill Clinton was President after the death of Kurt Cobain.

Pearl Jam released a ‘Riden’ With Biden’ t-shirt a couple of weeks ago, with ‘It’s Time To Vote’ written on the front. Pearl Jam also recently launched a campaign to promote mail in voting for the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.
