Legendary Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland says Foo Fighters firing Josh Freese is ‘gross.’

Last week, it was revealed that Foo Fighters had parted ways with Josh Freese, with the band telling him they have decided “to go a different direction with their drummer.”

Shortly after, Freese shared a tongue-in-cheek list of “10 possible reasons” he was “booted from the Foos” – which included that fact that he “could only name one Fugazi song,” that he “never even once tried growing a beard,” his obsession with poodles, and that he “refused to perform unless he was guaranteed a Ouija board and nunchucks after every show.”

Now, Freese says another band he drums for – A Perfect Circle – made a very sincere effort to try to cheer him up after the news broke he was let go by Dave Grohl and co.

Alongside a Ouija board and some nunchucks, A Perfect Circle left him a list titled “10 Reasons Why We Want Josh Freese on Tour Forever.”

“After the APC show last night, I walked in my dressing room and found this. I laughed at first when I saw the Ouija Board and nunchucks but then I read the piece of paper. It was touching and of course, made me a little emotional. Really thoughtful and sweet. Thank you to the kind people I’m on tour with right now…brightened my day,” he wrote on Instagram.

The list reads:

“1. You actually make us enjoy touring. Your drumming? Impeccable. Your jokes? Slightly unhinged. Perfect combo.

  1. You’ve got more band stories than all of us combined. And you still manage to make each one funnier than the last.
  2. You refuse to perform unless you were guaranteed a Ouija board and nunchucks after every show. Somehow, everything revolves around you – the rhythm, the vibe, and whatever spirits you conjure.
  3. You love poodles. Who doesn’t?
  4. You read minds and still won’t tell us your secrets. Come on… not one hint?!
  5. You’ve been in, like, 97 bands. But this one feels right.
  6. Your wife is a smoke show. Yeah, we said it. We love Nicole. It’s important.
  7. You’ve taught us all something. About rhythm. About humility. About being a total pro without ever taking yourself too seriously.
  8. You make chaos look composed. Even in a poodle head or in a clown sweater meant for our grandmother’s sewing circle.
  9. You already knew we were going to write this list. Duh. And you probably have 10 more to add to it.

#FreeseForever”
