Former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is doing well as he recovers from a hand injury he got while playing touch football. People magazine spoke to sources who gave an update on how he’s doing.

They said Richie’s recovery is “slow and painful,” but he’s working hard and staying focused. Doctors are happy with how fast he’s healing , they say he’s getting better twice as quickly as they normally expect for this kind of injury.

Richie hurt his hand during a casual game, and because he’s a guitarist, his hand is very important for his music. He’s already had surgery and other treatments, and things are going better than doctors first thought.

While he recovers, Richie is using the time to plan new solo music. This shows he’s eager to get back to performing once he’s fully healed.

Fans are watching his recovery closely. Richie was put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Bon Jovi in 2018. He left the band in 2013 to do his own projects, but he’s still known for co-writing many of Bon Jovi’s biggest hits and playing some of their best guitar solos.

With his faster-than-expected healing, fans are hopeful Richie will be back making music soon.
