Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea discussed why America suffers from ‘systemic racism’ and ‘a pathetic romance with firearms’ in a new interview with CBC Ottawa.

“The situation with people killing each other, the systemic racism in the United States, it’s a pathetic romance with firearms. As well as terrorism, and the backlash against terrorism, all this stuff is all people not feeling connected.”

You get alone so much, you cut out the world so much, you think you’re against this person, and this person is against you. You build up this fear and anger that turns into something sick, and you become a murderer. It’s sickness, it’s sick, it’s terribly sad.”
