Ticket sales for the highly anticipated AC/DC Power Up Tour 2026 faced significant technical problems, leaving many fans frustrated and unable to complete their purchases.
AC/DC fans are frustrated
According to multiple reports from fans, Ticketmaster repeatedly blocked users who made multiple purchase attempts for their stop at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on September 16th, 2026, displaying a message stating that their browsing activity had been paused. Others described long virtual queues, with some finding themselves tens of thousands of places behind despite joining early.
Many expressed anger over the recurring technical issues and criticized the ticketing system as unreliable and unfit for handling demand at this scale. Similar problems have plagued major concert ticket releases in recent years, fueling ongoing debates about the efficiency and fairness of online ticket distribution.
Despite the difficulties, some fans were eventually able to secure tickets, while others remain locked out of one of rock’s most anticipated tours in years.
AC/DC recently announced that they’re donning the schoolboy outfits once again next summer when they take their ‘Power Up Tour’ to stadiums all over North America from July through September.
Late in the U.S. and Canada run, they’re slated to make their sole Tri-state stop when they headline at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Friday, September 25th. Tickets are available for all 17 of their U.S. and Canada concerts.
The lowest price we could find on seats for any one North American show was $115 including fees on Vivid Seats. Other gigs have seats starting anywhere from $134 to $270 USD including fees.
