AC/DC are reportedly gearing up to announce a new 2025 tour for North America. It has not been confirmed yet. However, fans are speculating that a tour announcement is on the way after an update appeared online. Lafon says April and May dates will come tomorrow or Tuesday.
Famed journalist Mitch Lafon has hinted that the opening act for the upcoming AC/DC North American tour is a female-fronted band and based on his comments on social media, it is most likely The Pretty Reckless.
Here’s what I’ve heard about an AC⚡️DC North American announcement… unlike sites that ran with a “this week” rumour (last week)…
I was told it would be announced this Monday (possibly Tuesday). April/May dates with a female fronted band as opener. 🔔

The Pretty Reckless had previously supported AC/DC for their Europe tour. The legendary band usually calls the same band for both Europe and North America. Thereby, it seems that Taylor Momsen and co. will likely be opening for their North America tour as well.
On November 11th, it was reported that a Facebook event was listed for AC/DC and taking place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 11th, 2025. It was soon removed from Facebook.
Before the announcement was deleted, it was reported that tickets would be going on sale on Friday, November 15th. This suggests that if a U.S. tour is to be announced, official confirmation should be expected soon.
If a North American tour does happen, it will follow the rock veterans’ completion of their 24th and final show of the ‘Power Up’ UK and Europe tour. The last performance of this extensive run took place at Croke Park in Dublin on August 17th.
This tour marked their first series of shows with the new lineup, which includes singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and new bassist Chris Chaney. Reports indicate that Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd will yet again not participate in AC/DC’s North American tour.
