AC/DC just wrapped up their 2025 North American “Power Up” tour with a massive show in Cleveland. Over 50,000 fans packed Huntington Bank Field, and the band delivered a 21-song set that shook the stadium.
But here’s the thing: Brian Johnson is 77, and Angus Young is 70. While they still bring the energy, some fans noticed the toll time has taken. Brian’s voice isn’t what it used to be, and Angus, though still impressive, has slowed down a bit.
So, is this the end?
Not necessarily. There’s talk of a European leg of the tour starting soon, with a final show in Edinburgh on August 21st. Some crew members have hinted that the band might hit a few more cities next year before calling it quits.
One fan shared information from a crew member about upcoming plans, saying: ‘I spoke to someone in the crew (manager of the ’88 canons at the pop up shops) and he said they’d like to come back next year and hit some of the cities they couldn’t fit in this year but after that, it’s over. He said it was tough on Brian’s voice and that’s why they spaced out the shows the way they did.’
The fanbase remained divided on the topic of the band’s future. One fan said: ‘I think this is it, folks. Last tour and no more albums. Gotta be realistic.”
A more optimistic fan countered: ‘Alot of people saying that was it. I went to the Tampa date and didn’t get the farewell notion. I think they are good to go for one more tour.’
AC/DC’s official website confirmed the band’s expanded touring schedule. Additional performances are planned for European cities including Prague and Berlin. This schedule demonstrates their ongoing commitment to live performances. The Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen also posted pictures with AC/DC members and teased about the band’s performance in Prague in June.
