The Seattle Grunge community was stunned today by the death of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, with current and former members of some of the scene’s most iconic bands starting to pay tribute on social media.
Alice In Chains singer/guitarist William DuVall wrote, “I simply cannot believe what I am reading right now.”
Former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan wrote, “RIP Chris Cornell. Damn.”
Former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese wrote, “One of the greats Chris Cornell: Great Singer, songwriter, family Man.”
Sub Pop and Pearl Jam Radio also paid tribute. Alternative Nation will have up more tributes later, it’s still hard to accept that this is real.
I simply cannot believe what I am reading right now.
