A fan jumped on stage at last week’s Smashing Pumpkins show in Memphis at the Orpheum, and Billy Corgan wasn’t too pleased. He told the fan, “Get the fuck off my stage before I punch you in the fucking face.” The fan then left the stage, followed by Corgan throwing up the ‘rock on’ hand gesture before resuming the performance of The Rolling Stones classic “Angie.”

The Pumpkins’ 2016 ‘In Plainsong’ tour has been highly acclaimed, with original guitarist James Iha reuniting with the band for performances in Los Angeles and Chicago, and Corgan always graciously thanking fans at the end of performances.

Original Smashing Pumpkins bassist D’arcy Wretzky has broken her silence, speaking to the press for the first time since 2009 in a new interview with BlastEcho. She revealed that she has been asked to perform with The Smashing Pumpkins on four occasions, and that she is considering reuniting with the band. “[I’d] consider going back.”

“Circumstances would have to be a certain way,” she says. “It’s much too complicated. I wouldn’t be able to tell you anyway.”

She called James Iha’s recent reunion with Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin “really healthy,” and said Iha is the only member of the Pumpkins who she keeps in contact with, albeit just “here and there.”

Wretzky said she misses the chemistry she had with her former Pumpkins bandmates. “Over the course of 12 years jamming with people who just clicked, you could just do it forever and ever and ever,” Wretzky says. “For me that doesn’t happen very often and I really miss that.” She also revealed that she is working on her own music, but isn’t sure if she will release it.
