Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan revealed that he has met Michael Jackson’s sister Janet Jackson, and that he considers her to be ‘lovely.’ Below are highlights from a recent Instagram story Q&A Corgan did as the Pumpkins prepare to play The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. Corgan called out a Woodstock lie a couple of weeks ago.

Ever met Janet Jackson?

“Yes, a very sweet and lovely person.”

Please consider the solo US tour!

“Last one was wonderful musically (and obviously pre-Shiny tour success) but not enough SP fans make the connection to what and why of why I’m playing solo. I don’t mind playing smaller venues AT ALL but the support has to be there.”

How do you have a strong relationship with god in spite of everything? Need advice.

“My faith is simple: God is a constant. Love is a constant. Humanity is not. So that which makes us uncomfortable about the world is ours to sort (individually and collectively).”

You have had bad experiences with fake media – any music news sources you trust?

“It’s not a matter of trust, it’s a matter of agenda. And the agenda for many has been to profit off of false narratives and ultimately the hoped for destruction of SP.”

Corgan has also shared a new photo of himself outside of Madison Square Garden, “Back at MSG! Just a little over a year later…Great memories.” Corgan recently made a sad Scott Weiland death revelation.
