Brad Pitt has bought a new mansion in the Hollywood Hills, making another big move in Los Angeles real estate. The 61-year-old actor purchased the property from The Killers’ guitarist Dave Keuning and his wife Emilie for $12 million. The couple had listed the Spanish-style home for $13.9 million earlier this year after buying it for $9.6 million in 2021.
The 8,385-square-foot house was built in 1989 and sits in the prestigious Outpost Estates neighborhood, where stars like Ben Affleck and Orlando Bloom have also lived. The home has six bedrooms, an office, a theater room, and floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean. The property also includes a pool, outdoor kitchen, and a vegetable garden.
Inside, the home features a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining space with city views, a modern kitchen with a large center island, and a primary bedroom that opens to a terrace. There’s also an office decorated with guitars and a private screening room.
This isn’t Pitt’s only property in Los Angeles. He also purchased a Los Feliz home for $5.5 million in 2023. Beyond California, he owns Château Miraval, a winery in France, which remains at the center of a legal dispute with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. The former couple, who married in 2014 and share six children, finalized their divorce in 2024.
Since the split, Pitt has been dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon. The couple first appeared publicly in 2022 and made their red carpet debut in 2024 at the Venice Film Festival. They most recently attended the premiere of Pitt’s film F1, where he said it felt good to have her support.
Beyond his career on screen and his high-profile real estate deals, Brad Pitt has long been known as a genuine fan of rock music. Over the years he has been spotted at countless shows, supporting artists from U2 to Red Hot Chili Peppers, and even developing friendships with some of the biggest names in alternative and classic rock. Pitt has always carried himself as more than just a celebrity hanging around backstage — he’s been described by musicians as a listener who truly understands the craft, and someone who has deep respect for the culture of rock and roll.
One of Pitt’s closest musical connections was with Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell. The two struck up a friendship years before Cornell’s death in 2017, and Pitt was among the Hollywood figures who stepped forward to honor him both privately and publicly. Pitt attended the memorial service for Cornell in Los Angeles, standing alongside fans and fellow musicians in paying tribute to the singer whose voice defined a generation. Later, Pitt even helped narrate a short documentary piece about Cornell’s life, underscoring the bond the two shared.
For Pitt, rock music has been more than a soundtrack — it’s been a constant through his life and career. Whether collecting guitars, working music into his films, or supporting artists like Cornell, he has always gravitated toward the raw honesty that rock provides, as he is a Gen Xer Grunge guy at heart.
