Along with Chester’s widow, other rockers also said they approve of the band’s decision. “CONGRATS LOVE,” Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale commented under Armstrong’s post.

Alissa White-Gluz added, “Fantastic job!”

“So happy for my brothers in LP. Welcome back,” Avenged Sevenfold singer M. Shadows wrote on X. “HOLY Crap LINKIN PARK. F yea Emily Armstrong,” Machine Gun Kelly added.

Chester Bennington passed at the age of 41 in July 2017. Following his passing, Talinda launched the nonprofit 320 Changes Direction in an effort to “change the culture about mental health, mental illness, and wellness,” according to its website.

Talinda and Chester shared three children together — son Tyler Lee, and twin daughters, Lily and Lila. The Linkin Park singer was also father to three other children from previous relationships, including one adoption.

Linkin Park have announced a new album ‘From Zero’, and shared a new single ‘The Emptiness Machine’ which marks their first new music since the loss of Chester Bennington in 2017. The band has also announced a short world tour beginning this month. It will see six arena shows across the world between September and November this year.

The tour will kick off at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 11th. Other stops include New York, Germany, London, South Korea and Colombia. Linkin Park’s LP Underground fan club pre-sales began on September 6th and general tickets go live on September 7th. Some fans have also shared their opinion on the expensive ticket prices.

The band is set to release their upcoming album on November 15th. An AI-generated version of their new song featuring the voice of the late Chester Bennington has got fans going crazy on social media.

Meanwhile, Linkin Park longtime drummer Rob Bourdon has also departed the band. As one of the founding members, Rob helped in shaping the signature sound of the band and his departure also feel like the end of an era.
