Late Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots singer Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda has responded to Chester’s autopsy and toxicology report being released to TMZ.

She wrote on Twitter, “Fun fact- When your husband dies by suicide, the LA County Coroner’s office will PARAPHRASE your private conversation with them to dramatize and sensationalize the story and then SCUMBAG FILTH like TMZ post it for the world to feast on. It was redacted to protect all the kids!!”

“And now I get to go pull my 11 yr old out of school- because all the kids can use their phones at lunch-to be the first to tell him what REALLY happened in Nov. Thanks again to SCUMBAG reporting. FUCK YOU TMZ.”

“FuckyouTMZ.”

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has reacted to the release of Chester Bennington’s autopsy and toxicology report, and the early misreport that Bennington was taking ecstasy/MDMA at the time of his death.

“Just clearing this up: TMZ erroneously printed CB had MDMA in his system when he passed. That was incorrect, they misread the report. They have since corrected their piece, see below. I hope other publications have the decency to do the same.”

TMZ updated story: TMZ have updated their story, saying the autopsy shows that Chester Bennington had alcohol in his system at the time of his death. The toxicology results, obtained by TMZ, also reveal that the Linkin Park singer’s blood tested “presumptive positive” for MDMA, otherwise known as ecstasy, based on one test. Two subsequent tests did not detect the drug, and the ultimate conclusion was Chester was not under the influence of drugs when he died. Authorities found a prescription bottle of Zolpidem on his dresser. There was also a pint glass of Corona, which was less than half full, and an empty bottle of Stella Artois.

TMZ’s original story: Chester Bennington’s autopsy shows he had alcohol and ecstasy in his system when he hanged himself … TMZ has learned.

According to the autopsy and toxicology results, obtained by TMZ, the Linkin Park singer had a small amount of alcohol and MDMA (ecstasy). Authorities found a prescription bottle of Zolpidem — generic Ambien — on his dresser. There was also a pint glass of Corona, which was less than half full — and an empty bottle of Stella Artois.

Police found pieces of fingernail underneath his iPhone and on a table in the bedroom. Chester’s wife, Talinda, told cops he would do that when he was anxious. She said Chester had a history of depression and previous suicide attempts — including one in 2006 when he left the house with a gun after drinking heavily.

Talinda added Chester was currently in an outpatient treatment program. A month before his death, Chester reportedly told friends he’d been sober for 6 months.

He’d been prescribed anti-depressants in the past, but had not taken them for more than a year … according to Talinda.

TMZ broke the story … the Chester committed suicide July 20 by hanging himself. The report says he was found with a black Hugo Boss leather belt around his neck. He still had the boarding pass in his pocket from the flight he’d taken from Phoenix the day before his death.

There was no suicide note, but police found what they call an “apparent biography,” which was handwritten.

Poor Talinda. TMZ is just awful and so unprofessional. They really are scumbags. I don’t blame her for taking the kid out of school for a while. She might want to limit his use of social media for now too. 🙁

I thought it was odd he would take ecstasy. Doesn’t make sense. RIP Chester.
