Chris Cornell’s daughter Toni has posted the following on her photography Instagram:

“It really hurts when I am scrolling through my Instagram and come across a picture or account that say the most horrible things about my mom and family. I try my best not to read it, but I come across them so often that it’s almost impossible. It’s sick when people tag me in posts that say those horrible things too.

This is not a rare case. So many other children and people are cyber bullied too, and a lot of them aren’t as strong as me and my family are. This leads to depression and suicide as well, and these cyber bullies need to understand that it’s someone else’s life they are messing with. If you are being bullied or cyber bullied, please stay strong and know that you are not alone, and that so many people, including me, stand with you. Cyber bullying is NOT freedom of speech, it’s hurtful, and it needs to end RIGHT NOW. #STOPCYBERBULLYING”

Her sister Lily commented, “I am so so proud of you. People writing hurtful things about ANYBODY in our family have no respect or sympathy. I hope people read the powerful message that you wrote and think twice about the actions they take, behind a screen or otherwise.”

Everyone in Chris Cornell’s family from his immediate family to siblings have suffered terrible attacks from trolls since Cornell died by suicide in May 2017, with the conspiracy theories and attacks even extending to the children at times.
