Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky has shared a touching story about getting embarrassed after not knowing Chris sang “All Night Thing” by Temple of the Dog when they started dating in 2003.

“A few weeks after meeting Chris in Paris for the first time, we met up again in London. We were sitting in his living room and All Night Thing came on the radio and I said, ‘Oh, I love this song.’ Now Chris has just finished making fun of how I’m a pop girl;) So he says, ‘You’re kidding right?’ And I respond, ‘Why is this cheesy too?’ And he starts laughing, ‘That’s me.’ It was a little, very embarrassing I admit. It remains one of my favorites. He would sing it to me all the time. And at our wedding along with what would later become “Josephine” and my other favorite, his cover of Van Morrison’s ‘Crazy Love’

Vicky also recently posted, “Humbled and privileged to have co-hosted this year’s Spring Luncheon for the @nyspcc – the world’s first child protective agency.

Thank you Tara Westover (best selling author of ‘Educated’) for joining and sharing your incredible story and thank you to all the amazing women, friends and everyone who helped make this luncheon such a success.

Excited to share this year’s luncheon was the most successful yet, raising over $400,000 to benefit programs that help prevent and treat child abuse in all its forms. So grateful to you all- this money raised is without auctions, performances, it’s truly just about people who come together to give and help the most vulnerable children. It’s rare to see that kind of giving and I’m just so proud and so grateful.

Also want to give a big shout out and thank you to @chrisstapleton and his amazing wife Morgane Stapleton for the continued love and dedication to helping us #keepthepromise for Chris. Thank you and The Outlaw State of Kind Foundation for your support and most generous donation in honor of The Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation to support the Trauma Recovery Program. #nyspcc #keepthepromiseforchriscornell #chriscornell.”
