Chris Cornell’s Ex-Wife Talks Kurt Cobain’s Death And ‘End Of Our Innocence’ With Kim Thayil

A clip from the 20th anniversary of Hype! blu-ray has been released via AV Club, and it features a rare interview clip with Chris Cornell’s ex-wife Susan Silver, where she is joined by Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil.

Silver says, “When I spoke to you 20 years ago on my way to meet you for the filming, and I had gotten a call about Kurt’s incident in Europe where he had been found unconscious, and that began the writing on the wall, and the intense invasion of privacy that none of us were ready for, the end of our innocence.”

Silver managed Soundgarden and Alice In Chains in the 90’s during the prime of their careers.

Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron performed live for the first time since Chris Cornell’s death on Sunday, joining Eddie Vedder for “Just Breathe” at the Pilgrimage Festival.
