Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor underwent knee surgery in May, and it appears that he went through a painful recovery progress, as he revealed in a new interview that he was not healing well, though the interview may have been conducted around a month to a month and a half ago since it’s a magazine interview. A Slipknot member recently revealed how Metallica refusing to break up inspires him to keep going with Slipknot.

Taylor told Metal Hammer, “I wish I could sit here and go, ‘I’m healing up good and it’s getting stronger by the day,’ but that would be a lie,’ he winces when asked how he’s feeling.

“When you dig around on those knees it’s not easy to be as sprightly as you want to be. I’ve got ice packs on them and I’ve got plenty of meds. But it’s just one of the many results from 20 years of this band completely destroying my body.”

Taylor underwent knee surgery in May, and at the time he announced that it was a success.

“My little Tenderoni is in surgery today! Please comment with your best dad joke below to help me keep him laughing! 😂”

“Surgery in both knees today- soon I’ll be worth Six Million Dollars!! See you all soon! #bionic #leemajors.”

“Update! Success! See you guys next weekend!” Slipknot released a new song “Solway Firth” on Monday, which you can watch the official video to below.
