Forbes have up a new article where Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan are asked what their favorite happy song is, and they disagreed regarding ‘happy’ music, with Corgan saying he isn’t a fan, while Grohl enjoys it.

Grohl said, “I want to say “Happy” by Pharrell, because I swear to god that one never gets old. But I’m gonna go with “C’Mon Ride It,” by Quad City DJs. Dude, that song I swear to god, you can’t not love it! It puts you in a good mood every time. It’s the groove, man.

Corgan said, “I’m not a happy song fan (laughs), not really my thing. But ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ by the Beach Boys.”

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan revealed in a recent Instagram story Q&A that he turned down an offer to appear in 2014’s Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways. Sonic Highways was an HBO series directed by Dave Grohl and also a Foo Fighters album.

A fan asked, “I’m surprised you weren’t in Sonic Highways: Chicago..Didn’t Dave Grohl as you to take part?”

Corgan responded, “We were asked and I declined. But please don’t conflate that with any issue between DG and I. Saw Dave not too long ago and admire him as I always have. Our ties are deeper than most know.”

Billy Corgan reacted to rock stars like himself, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl being called ‘extinct creatures’ in another recent Instagram story Q&A. Corgan created hilarious dinosaur nicknames for himself, Vedder, and Grohl.

Is it just me or is the rock star (not pop/rap star) an extinct creature?

“LOL am I extinct? As is Grohlasaurus and VedderRaptor?”

What’s your dinosaur name?

“Sadasaurus.”
