Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently admitted in a surprising social media post that he fathered a child out of wedlock. He has caused a stir with this news, and it has resurfaced the early days of his relationship with wife Jordyn Blum. He reportedly ‘ghosted’ his wife prior to their marriage over 20 years ago.
Dave Grohl ghosted his wife
Dave’s marriage to Jordyn has grabbed headlines again as some information about his past behavior has emerged. It includes how he ‘ghosted’ her before eventually proposing. After a few dates with Jordyn, whom Dave has been married to for 21 years, he suddenly stopped contacting her.
During an interview with Q Magazine, Grohl had revealed that he and Blum “saw each other a few times.” He added, “But I realized that this was the flag, the finish line and I’m like, ‘Oh, wait a minute.’ So I backed out.”
It was only after his late bandmate Taylor Hawkins urged him to settle down with Jordyn that Dave decided to propose. The pair rekindled their romance down the line and tied the knot in 2003. The former Nirvana drummer and Blum share three daughters: Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.
Grohl opened up about his new fatherhood journey and he was asking for his wife’s forgiveness. The 55-year-old seemed eager to maintain his favorable reputation among his fanbase.
Grohl recently revealed his infidelity in an Instagram post. “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the “Everlong” singer wrote.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together,” his statement concluded.
