Dave Grohl, Jordyn Grohl, and Taylor Hawkins’ widow attend Oasis show

This past weekend, rock’s heavyweights were out in force at the Oasis reunion concerts in Los Angeles. Dave Grohl, his wife Jordyn, and Alison Hawkins—widow of Foo Fighters’ late drummer Taylor Hawkins—were spotted in the crowd, smiling and singing along as Liam and Noel Gallagher finally shared a stage again. It was a special night, with other big names like James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Vince Vaughn also in the house.

The Hawkins family’s presence underscored the deep, unshakable bond between them and Foo Fighters. Since Taylor’s tragic passing in 2022, Alison and the couple’s children have remained fixtures in the Foos’ world, with Dave Grohl and bandmates making it clear that the Hawkins legacy is forever part into the band’s DNA. From the massive tribute concerts in LA and London to quiet moments like this weekend, the Hawkins will always be Foo royalty. Dave Grohl even joined Shane Hawkins onstage at a Chevy Metal show just a week ago.

Liam Gallagher, of course, has his own history with the band. Taylor once called him “the last of the great rock frontmen,” a comment that came straight from a drummer who knew a thing or two about charismatic singers. Gallagher returned the love at Taylor’s London tribute show, ripping through Oasis classics in Hawkins’ honor.

All of this comes as Foo Fighters prepare to start a new chapter. The band recently announced that Ilan Rubin—known for his powerhouse work with Nine Inch Nails and Angels & Airwaves—will take over drumming duties from Josh Freese. Rubin isn’t just a skilled drummer; he’s a charismatic stage presence, and at just 36, he represents a generational shift that keeps the Foos’ lineup feeling young. With Oasis back on the road and Foo Fighters recharged, rock’s future is looking very bright.
