Dave Grohl’s wife will not divorce him
In September 2024, Dave Grohl made the shocking announcement that he had fathered a child “outside of his marriage.” Despite rumors at the time that the Foo Fighters frontman and his wife Jordyn Blum were considering divorce, the two seem to have patched things up.
People is reporting that one year after Grohl’s unexpected revelation, he and Blum are “very happy” together.
“She’s forgiven him,” a source told the publication. “They never wanted a divorce though — the idea of splitting up their family was too sad for both of them. They love their girls and they’re both great parents.”
Grohl and Blum have been married since 2003 and have three children together.
Blum “was initially distraught, but the betrayal was painful for both of them,” and Grohl “felt terrible and begged her to forgive him,” the insider said, adding that Blum is “surrounded by friends who believe in marriage and encouraged her to fight for it.”
“They’re very happy now. She feels it was all worth fighting for.”
These comments come after the couple was spotted together at Supergrass’ concert this past Friday (Sept. 5th) at the Hollywood Palladium. Grohl and Blum were photographed sporting smiles as they walked into the venue.
Two days later, they were spotted together again attending the second of Oasis’ two massive shows at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA on Sunday (Sept. 7th).
Dave Grohl is a devoted father
Grohl has long made his family the center of his life, often sharing stories about his daughters Violet, Harper, and Ophelia. In recent years, he has even brought them into his Foo Fighters world. Violet has performed with the Foo Fighters onstage, lending her vocals to a live version of “Shame Shame” and previously recording backing vocals on “Making a Fire” from the band’s 2021 album Medicine at Midnight.
Harper has also joined her father behind the drums at Foo Fighters shows, showing that music runs deep in the Grohl household. Grohl frequently praises his daughters’ talent and has said that collaborating with them has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his career. Despite the issues in his personal life, he continues to prove he is a devoted father, balancing the demands of fronting a legendary rock band with being present for his family at home.
