Dave Navarro has teased quitting Jane’s Addiction with a new Instagram photo. Navarro posted a Jane’s Addiction photo with the caption: “Goodnight…”
Perry Farrell’s former Porno for Pyros bandmate lashed out at the singer after Perry Farrell and Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro got into an on-stage fight.
Porno for Pyros bassist Martyn LeNoble took to social media to voice his opinion about Perry Farrell and his attack on Navarro during last night’s (Sept. 13) Jane’s Addiction show in Boston.
“The ‘Imminent Redemption’ lyrics are even funnier now. I love all the other guys in Jane’s. But Perry needs to seek some help.” LeNoble wrote on Twitter/X.
His comments on Instagram, however, were a bit more harsh. In reply to an apologetic post made by Jane’s Addiction’s guitar tech Dan Cleary, LeNoble wrote:
“F*** Perry. He’s been a sad shell of a human being for most of his life. No spine. Just a preacher without any capacity for growth.”
The recent altercation between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro during Jane’s Addiction’s show in Boston has got the fans wondering about the future of the band. The controversial incident, in which Farrell tackled Navarro and had to be restrained by bandmates and the road crew, has cast a shadow over the band’s comeback tour.
After issuing a “heartfelt apology” and canceling their next show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Jane’s Addiction are yet to clear the air about the future of the tour, which is set to run through October 16th.
During the Boston performance, tensions between Farrell and Navarro boiled over in front of a shocked audience. After Farrell tackled Navarro and got in his face, the situation escalated when Farrell began throwing punches.
Bandmates, including bassist Eric Avery, and the crew had to step in to restrain Farrell and eventually drag him off the stage. The show was cut short, and fans were left in disbelief. This outburst has led many to speculate about the stability of the band and Farrell’s role moving forward.
