Def Leppard recently revealed in a new YouTube video clip that they have been dealing with a health scare on tour.
Def Leppard shares details on the health scare
The band shared a behind-the-scenes video clip for their ‘Summer Stadium Tour,’ and shed light on the health scare that never happened in Def Leppard history.
“There’s a fungus among us. There’s a sickness in the camp, everybody’s worried,” the frontman Joe Elliott said.
“We’re not sharing a dressing room kind of f*cked really. I like sharing a dressing room.”
“Something that has never ever happened in the history of Def Leppard we have five individual dressing rooms. That never ever happened, so yeah. We’re all feeling a little under the weather,” Rick Savage added.
“The two days off before we did this gig were absolutely crucial for us to be able to pull this off because there’s been an illness going around B and we all managed to pull it off tonight and feel good about it,” Elliott said in the end of the video.
All the band members have had health scares individually in the past. However, it has never happened to a band as a whole.
Last year, Elliott was diagnosed with moderate-to-severe altitude sickness. After the recent health scare, fans were concerned about the condition of the singer.
The rock musician might have retired around 2015 if it hadn’t been for Elliott’s vocal rehabilitation. Elliott had trouble controlling his voice and a frozen vocal cord. His doctors said that if it were anyone else, they would suggest changing careers. Thankfully, with rehabilitation and no surgery, the rock musician got his voice back and was ready to sing again.
