Chino Moreno broke the top of his foot during Deftones’ set at Belgium’s Groezrock festival on Saturday, but he managed to finish the show. The band canceled a show in Cologne, Germany, but returned to the stage last night in Paris. During the show, Moreno crowd surfed with a broken foot! Watch video and read the fan account we tracked down below.

“So yeah stage diving and crowd surfing is now a thing at DEFTONES shows. Frontman Chino Moreno (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) couldn’t simply refrain himself to crowd surfing over my head (//‿•) as I’ve deffo cracked a few ribs and lost my shoe haha. I didn’t remember during what song it was until now and it was ‘THIS IS SPARTA’ (I think) which is amazing wow. Who remembers “This!….. is!….. sparta!!!!!!!” That still sounds good in my ears till now. Deftones were performing live in Paris (France) at L’Olympia on – Tuesday, May 2nd 2017.

Deftones’ Chino is a CHAMP ! Vocals sounded great and not even a broken foot will stop him from performing at L’Olympia. If Dave Grohl /Chino Moreno / Axl Rose / could sing whole concerts with a broken foot I can do anything. Petition to change the name Deftones to Sextones. Deftones is an American alternative metal band from Sacramento, California, U.S. Formed in 1988, the band was founded by Chino Moreno (lead vocals, rhythm guitar). THANK YOU GUYS THE SHOW, IT WAS AWESOME ! Chino has such a great heart, I was touched by his grace (and I touched him back haha). Thank you for being one of my inspirations !”
